Susitna Valley River Guides is the only guide service in the Mat-Su Valley offering full-service float trips in pursuit of resident species and scenic float trips on Historic Willow Creek.
We are located in the heart of rainbow country, in Willow, Alaska, just two hours north of Anchorage, where there are over a dozen excellent trout streams to fish including Willow Creek, Montana Creek, and Clear Creek. The creeks that drain into the Susitna River and Talkeetna River offer superb rainbow fishing, and we fish them all. Take a look at our photo gallery and see for yourself!
Scenic Float Trips on Historic Willow Creek
Join us for a relaxing 3-hour float down one of Alaska\’s most scenic rivers. Willow, Alaska is the historic site of many gold mining stagings, and the active mine in Hatcher Pass was supplied by the railroad and hauled up Hatcher Pass, starting right here in Willow. Learn about the natural history, and get an opportunity to view Alaska\’s wildlife active on the river. A great day-trip from Anchorage and Palmer/Wasilla, we offer morning and afternoon floats, and during the month of June we also offer an evening float to enjoy the midnight sun.
